From Matsuyama we prepared two 200Km tours. Today we did the first one. Although the places to visit are not very far from our hotel as the crow flies, it takes time to reach them via the sometimes narrow roads. And yes, today we had a few stretches of one car roads again.
We reached our first stop after 80Km that took 2 hours. The Tengu Highlands of the Shikoku Karst peaks at 1485 meters above sea level with panoramic views stretching to the horizon. On a clear day it should be possible to see the Pacific Ocean but today the view was limited to about 20Km. At one of the viewpoints we stopped at a coffee bar for a drink.
We continued our tour for 40 Km to Nakatsu Gorge where we followed the Nakatsu river along a path, rocks and bridges until the end where we saw the Uryu Falls. Along the way there are several stone statues (the seven gods of fortune).
Returning to the hotel we passed Odo dam and the big red Odo Dam Bridge.
