After leaving our temporary Kyoto house we drove 1 hour 15 minutes 54 Km to the Osaka car rental location to return our car ending a 3400Km tour. A short walk brought us to Shin-Osaka station where we got tickets for the 11:30 Nozomi bullettrain to Tokyo. 13 minutes later we had a short (2 minute) stop at Kyoto station and at 13:57 we arrived it Tokyo station after 500Km and 3 more stops.
An 800m walk later we checked in to the same hotel we had when we first arrived and after a short wait for the rooms to get ready we could leave our stuff and go exploring.
As there’s a subway station just next to the hotel we took that one to Ryogoku Kokugikan, the big sumo wrestling arena. The street next to it has several small statues of the local sumo heroes. From this area we had a good view of the Tokyo Sky Tree, the huge tower with observation platform As the sun was already lower on the horizon the view towards the city would not be good so we didn’t go there Instead we got n the subway again to go to the other side of town near Shibuya station, Known for the busy Shibuya crosswalk It was so busy here there was no way to get a clear view from anywhere and the Shibuya Sky with viewing platform was sold out for the day.
As it was almost getting dark we got on the subway again to nearby Roppongi for dinner in the Hard Rock Café. When we got in we were told that there would be a live act performing
