A full day to visit the city. As we knew $6-9 /hour parking fee is normal in Auckland we just walked 200m and took the bus to the CBD. Aotea Square and Town Hall were the starting point of our city walk from where the Sky Tower is within easy reach. We took the elevator up to 208m for a 360 degrees view over the city and surroundings.
Via the Wynyard Quarter with it’s busy waterfront we continued along the Ferry Building and Queen Street to Albert Park with it’s historic Old Arts Building. We walked on to the Auckland Domain with it’s Wintergarden containing a host of different plants and flowers and the War Memorial.
Returning to city center we stopped for a “Belgian Waffle” on Aotea Square before taking the bus back to the B&B where we had to pack our suitcases for tomorrow’s evening flight back home.
