It was a short drive with many stops today. Just minutes after leaving Kranjska Gora we had a short walk around Jasna Lake with the Kozorog, a statue of a mountain goat.
The next stop was the Russian Chapel where it was very busy so we had to find a parking spot a few hundred meter uphill.
The top of the pass was so crowded we didn’t even stop for the panoramic view but just a short distance further at another viewpoint we had the place almost to ourselves and the view was just as good.
The Soca Trail that follows the Soca river is also a very popular destination for many, We picked a few spots along the way with parking near suspensionbridges. In Kobarid we hiked to the Kozjak waterfall located in a cave.
Since we still had time to spare we we still had time to drive to Tolmin for a 1.5 hour walk of the Tolmin Gorge with the bear’s head and Devil’s bridge.
