We started the day a bit earlier today To drive the Grossglockner Alpine road to Slovenia. It was a steep climb going from about 1150m at the ticket booths to a little over 2500m at the Edelweissspitze. It was surprising to see so many people on bikes trying (and succeeding) to reach the top. Many more were on motorbikes having fun with the hairpin curves.
We were lucky again the sun was out in full force so the 8°C felt very comfortable.
We made our way back down the mountain and stopped for dinner in Villach where we also got our highway vignette for Slovenia.
There was still a little time left to make a stop at Zelenci Sources where water from an underground creek emerges in a small lake.
It was only a 10 minute drive to our hotel in Kranjska Gora.
