A hefty 326 Km was our target today. By evening we had to be in Hamilton. The direct route is short but we made a large detour to see some extra attractions. We stopped in Tirau where most shops have special signs. Some even have all of their front made as special figures. In Waitamo the caves can be visited, the first part on foot and the last part by boat through a completely dark cave where the walls and ceiling are completely covered with glowworms. We continued to Magapohue where a natural bridge is formed in the rock. We also visited Marakopa falls and then continued to our last stop, Bridal Veil Falls, a very high waterfall where 260 steps lead to the bottom viewpoint.
