Our last day. It had been raining during the night and in the morning there was still heavy cloudcover. We left the hotel and parked in the city center mall covered parking. We went for a pancake breakfast in one of the mall’s small businesses and then walked to the waterfront with it’s “bollards”. We combined the walk with one of the three “WherIgo” geocaches that took us along part of the 4Km bollard trail. Just when we wanted to start a second WherIgo it started to rain again and we decided better to get the car and start heading closer to the airport. Near Werribee there was an air museum but that closed at 3 so we were a bit late to visit, the only thing left was Werribee Park and it’s rose garden. Our visit was cut short because of the rain again so there was nothing left to do than get closer to the airport again, get some dinner, fill up the car and return it to the rental company. Once we checked in and dropped our luggage we went through security and walked 10 minutes to the gate at the far end of the terminal. As our flight was over an hour late we had plenty of time to answer a questionnaire by Australia’s Tourist board . At last, take off was just before midnight for a 13.5 hour flight to Dubai, followed by a 7 hour flight to Brussels.
