It was a clear morning and we could see the top of Mount Wellington from our window. We drove up to the 1200m high top for a view of Hobart and surroundings below but it seems the few clouds that were around decided to block our view a little. We had to wait for short breaks of clear sky to take our pictures. The 9 degrees at the top quickly rose to 18 degrees when we descended from the mountain on our way to Tahune. Later in the day we even got 25 degrees.
In Tahune we went for the skywalk, a series of suspended walkways high up in the trees. At one point we were 38 meters above the ground on a platform suspended by two steel cables.
We made our way back to Hobart for a short walk along Salamanca Square and city center.
