We made our way to our final Norwegian accommodation in Kristiansand via Lindesnes where we visited the Southernmost tip of Norway and it’s 1915 lighthouse. The whole area is a museum with remnants of the WW II tunnels, trenches and fortification build by the Germans.
We had planned to explore Kristiansand after checking in to our hotel but things were real chaotic when we arrived. Our room’s bathroom had a terrible sewer smell so we complained at the reception. We then went to dinner and started a small tour in the area but then it started to rain. We went back to the hotel but found the smell was not gone so we asked to change rooms. Just as they started to arrange that the fire alarm went off (seems it was the third time that day) so everyone had to gather outside.
Once the (false) alarm was sorted out it still took some time to get a new room and then there were still a few problems. No need to say not a lot of time was left that evening.
