We had booked a cruise to Lysefjord today and hoped for clear skies but no such luck. As soon as we left the harbor there was drizzle but every once in a while the rain stopped. The electric powered boat made it’s way in between the many islands with holiday homes of the “citypeople”. After about one hour we entered the Lysefjord and the Prekestolen covered in clouds came into view.
As the rain increased we stayed inside watching the big screens that showed the view from the front camera. Having passed Preikestolen the boat turned around commencing the return trip and it was then the skies cleared for a nice view of the mountains.
Back in Stavanger we explored the side of town we hadn’t been to yet. As there were two large cruise ships the streets were very crowded but by evening when both ships sailed away the town almost died down.
