We woke up with light drizzle over Malmö but shortly after leaving the city the skies cleared up and the sun was out in full force. We had all day to get to Oslo, 520 Km away so there was time for for a few stops, the first one only 66 Km away in Helsingborg, a town we visited by ferry on a day trip from Denmark 30 years ago. We walked up the stairs of Terrasstrapporna to the medieval Karnan tower overlooking the city and Denmark across the water.
We followed the highway for another 3 hours to Tanum where the 3000 year old rock carvings are on the UNESCO World Heritage list..
It was another 170Km drive to our hotel in the center of Oslo where we arrived at 19:30. Tomorrow we’ll be rediscovering the city after visiting here in 1985.
